Marysia Stoklosa studied choreography at the School of New Dance Development in Amsterdam (2003-2007) and contemporary dance at the London Contemporary Dance School at The Place in London (1997-2000). Her largest work, Let’s Dance Chopin, premiered at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Other work includes dance pieces Intercontinental, The Right Hemisphere and Vacuum; mix-media work in collaboration with visual artist Julia Staniszewska: theater in private spaces project X-Apartments (Warsaw, Poland and 16.Internationale Schillertage, Mannheim, Germany), and a video-performance Meeting 1. Marysia Stoklosa worked as a dancer for Jeremy Wade touring his Glory and And pulled out their hair…worldwide between 2006 and 2008. She also danced in This Universe by Maija Reeta Raumanni; Project Zero Point by Sara Shelton Mann; Die Zauberflote with choreography by Min Tanaka; B.O.B The Final Cut by Dick Wong; sex me not byAitana Cordero; Vivienne by Lea Anderson; Bach Bench by Jonhathan Lunn; She took part in numerous music and dance improvisation performances in Poland and The Netherlands collaborating with Makiko Ito, Maria Mavridou, Konrad Szymanski and Melba Kolektyw amongst others. She leads the Burdag Foundation running a private space for performing arts in Burdag (www.burdagstudio.com). Most recently she initiated the creation of CENTRUM W RUCHU - a new artist-run working space for a group of independent choreographers in Warsaw.
