Violinist Raluca Ioana Stratulat was born in 1980 in Bucharest, and started her violin studies at the age of 5. She graduated from the National University of Music Bucharest, class of 2003. In 2005 she graduated from the University’s Master Courses in Music and in 2010 Raluca received the Doctor of Music degree.
She attended Masterclasses alongside celebrated musicians, such as: Gerhard Hamann, Alexandru Gavrilovici, Şerban Lupu, Monte Belknap, Ladislau Csendes, Wolfgang Klos and Adrian Mantu.
Since 2003 she started playing with pianist Adriana Toacsen under the name of Duo ATRIS, with whom she attended several masterclasse, won several national and international prizez and held an impressive number of concerts and recitals.
She participated in classical music events since her student years, having taken part in festivals such as the ‘Lipatti Days’ Festival at the Romanian Athenaeum, Festival Plaza – George Enescu Festival, Schumsky Music Fest, ‘The Young and the Music’ Festival, IconArts Festival in Sibiu, the International Week of New Music (SIMN), the Meridian Festival and as member of various chamber ensembles, amongst which we list Duo ATRIS, SonoMania, IconArts, and Duo Art.
She received a series of national and international awards and held concerts and recitals in Romania, Finland, Greece, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Belgium, Italy and the USA.
In March this year she graduated from the postdoctoral studies MIDAS at UNMB. From 2005 she is a chamber music teacher at the National Music College ‘George Enescu’ Bucharest.
