Cristina Irian - photographer

Cristina has several lives. In her first life she is an economist, but this is of little interest. Her second life as a photographer unexpectedly started while conducting sociological research in rural areas across Romania. She then attended several professional courses in photography until graduating in art photography at the renowned “Fotopoetica” school in Bucharest.

So far she has taken part to more than 15 exhibitions both in Romania and abroad (2 in Portugal (2010, organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute Lisbon, Institute Francais Lisbon, one in Croatia (2010, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one in Bosnia Herzegovina 2011, Blackbox Gallery). In 2012 she participated to the competition ROD for young Romanian artists organized by Carturesti where she was selected by the project commission to exhibit her works. In 2013 she organized and participated together with Andreea Ciolacu in a three parts exhibition “ALT.UNDEVA.AICI” that took place in Sibiu, CIT- City Hall, and in Craiova, Museum of Oltenia.
